I do art as a GCSE subject at my school. However I can't get the dedication to produce good quality pieces of work, everything appears so half assed that it looks like a 6 year old drew the things I do. It's gnawing at my mind and driving me around the bend in frustration. I'd like to produce good pieces of artwork for once, but after looking at an art information sheet I have to improve, I almost wanted to throw it away and start again from scratch. But there's one problem with that, and that is how long it would take me. Usually art homeworks should take one hour to complete and that is recommended by whoever teaches art; I take almost all day on one piece of work that leaves me unsatisfied in the end, it doesn't make sense! I don't want to spend all my day drawing, it's relaxing to some, but really a battle of boredom for me, and that's probably why my work comes out looking so bad...

Ah well, maybe art isn't for me, I feel like an idiot for taking the subject when I was in year 8 which is because I most definately was a pure idiot in those years. My thoughts were all that I'd have fun in art, I'd get to be even better at the style I love so much and that which you can see on my dA. It's nothing like that to me, because I don't have fun making things I absolutely hate to see twice.

Is this whining? Don't think of it like a "I'm leaving DA because art sux!" kind of thing, because I love to draw. Just not so that it takes up all my after school hours.
